I’ll be honest, when I want to show off my workplace style this is my go-to outfit. Oh yes, I save this fit for days where my calendar is booked with meetings all the day long. Yes, I want everyone to see how much I’m killing it in these office streets. You may be laughing, but I’m serious. Completely.
This look is one of my favorites. This skirt and blouse combination from Express proves to be the perfect pairing due to the subtle beige striping outlining the wider black stripes on the navy blue (I know you can’t decipher that from the photos). I purchased the blouse online and immediately loved it after first trying it on with this skirt. However, the outfit looked plain. Something was missing. That something was accessories. Because this top is a crew neck, showing no chest or cleavage whatsoever, to prevent an otherwise gorgeous top from looking underwhelming I knew it needed a bit of neck glam (as I like to call it). I went to Charming Charlie and found the perfect bejeweled necklace and earrings set. Upon returning home the look was compete. The black stripes on the navy skirt made classic black pumps the perfect pairing.
