I was so excited to debut this suit on DAB because I truly felt wearing it around my own workplace was not doing it enough justice! This gray and pink combination is not what comes to mind when you think “pants suit”. Being gray, pink, tweed, and ankle length, this set is a complete rebellion to all traditional corporate women’s suits and gives the word “conservative” a new flare. Most pants suits are very unchanging – medium to lose fitting wide-flare pants, paired with a matching blazer. What I love about this suit is that it breaks all the rules of “corporate conservatism” while celebrating womanhood in the process. How, you ask? Try envisioning this suit on a man. No seriously, try it. Gray and pink pinstripe suit, paired with a pink button down (as opposed to a blouse)? This man you’re picturing would look like a pimp or a gigolo instead of a corporate worker. He’d be criticized for paying too much attention to his fashion instead of his work. This suit captures the fun in femininity. Its powerful, yet soft and graceful. Not to mention it’s super chic. I had a ton of fun wearing and rocking these looks. Enjoy!
