I call this look “Street Sexy” because it’s a sexy outfit but still manages to maintain its marketability – meaning, it’s not so sexy that you need to stay indoors (due to being too revealing). A friend helped me put together this look. I’m a naturally more conservative dresser so this combination is one I would’ve never gone with. I purchased the suede blazer from Zara in early 2018 and loved how it draped around my waistline, accentuating my hips and overall shape. Each time I’ve worn this blazer though, it’s always been with a top showing little to no skin. Upon throwing around a few ideas for this look, my friend had a light-bulb moment: “Do you have a corset?!” I hesitantly replied, “well, I have this bra from Victoria’s Secret”. I pulled it out and her face lit up “This is what I meant! This isn’t only a bra, you need to wear this in public!” Due to the jeans being high-waist, and the blazer being – well a blazer, this outfit provided an ample amount of covering (for us conservative type) for weekend wear. I didn’t feel out of place or like I was “doing too much”. What I thought was a bold outfit choice ended up being the perfect flare of sexy to rock on the weekends. This “Street Sexy” look was completed with high waist jeans from Express and my ever faithful simple black Steven Madden strap heels.
